Ub and Walt tried to start their own animation business, but it soon flopped. Disney then got a job at an ad company making animations, where he started experimenting with different types of animation.
At Age 22, Walt Disney Moved to Hollywood to Start a New Chapter in His Life.
Walt started to think Winkler should pay him more for the cartoons he made, but meanwhile Winkler hoped to pay him less. Walt Disney didn't like this, and so walked away from the deal. In rebuttal, Winkler sneakily stole half of Walt's animating team, and the rights to Oswald.
Walt Disney needed a new character. He and what was left of his animating staff came up with mortimer mouse, but Walt's wife thought it sounded too depressing, so they renamed it.
The first two animations featuring Mickey, Plane Crazy, and Galloping Gaucho, did not reach a very wide audience. His third one, however, Steamboat Willie, was a big hit. Soon many studios wanted Disney.
Walt was not going to repeat what he did with Winkler, so he made his own studio, and got to work on more animations.
Things mostly just went up from there. There were bad films, or hard parts every once in a while but at this point there was no stopping Disney. He made more animated films, but also branched out into live-action too.
Walt faced many challenges in his life, and was able to overcome them to achieve his dream, never losing sight of his goal or taking the easier route out.
Walt may not be with us anymore, but his legacy will always live on.
